The weekend of November 10th, I got to have the most amazing experience!! Meeting Kitten Lady!! She is every bit personable, as she is awesome and inspiring!!

The weekend started with two of her workshops - Saving Kittens and Community Cats 101! That morning I woke up and was unbelievably excited. Hannah is an absolute inspiration to me--after discovering her in 2016, she has inspired me to be more involved with the world of rescuing and advocating for neo-natal orphaned kittens! Who are one of the most at risk populations entering shelters.

The workshops were free! My friend Emily joined me, and we brought notebooks to take notes and jot down ideas. When she came out and introduced herself, I had to do everything I could to hold back crying (I'm an excited cryer!), but then it was time to learn!

On Sunday, La Gattara Cat Cafe was hosting a meet and greet throughout the day with small groups. Though this wasn't free, I didn't want to miss out and scooped up a ticket to be in on the action.

The meet and greet was informal and intimate and Hannah really invited everyone to just have conversation with her or ask questions - and there were some great questions being asked, and a lot of great talk about advocacy and what that looks like. I truly learned so much that weekend about how to approach advocacy, and how to really just jump in and try things because you never know unless you don't try! I even showed her the drive I created at work to collect items for the AZ Humane Society's kitten nursery and foster heroes --she was impressed you could say :D
